About the naples
Sail AND Power Squadron
Chartered in 1967, the Naples Sail
and Power Squadron is dedicated to enhance boating safety by making
educational programs available to all recreational boaters. We are
a non-governmental, not-for-profit organization and are funded by
over 250 members and volunteer supporters’ work.
Our members come from all occupations and their great common interest
is boats and seeing them operated for maximum pleasure and safety.
The Squadron is a private, not-for-profit fraternal organization.
Our Squadron is a unit of the "United States Power Squadrons®"
(USPS). USPS® is composed of over 450 squadrons nationwide and
overseas. The squadrons are organized into geographical districts.
We are part of District 22, located on the west coast of Florida.
The backbone
of the Squadron life is its progressive boating
courses, which are offered to boaters, of all ages, in Naples
and Bonita Springs, Florida. We have an active calendar
throughout the year to accommodate elective
and advanced
boating courses for our members as well as boating courses open
to the public.
Equally active are our social
and organizational events. The LOG, our local monthly publication,
keeps members abreast of Squadron activities and USPS Ensign Magazine
covers subjects of national interest. Become
a NSPS member today.

We enjoy participating with our fellow members on the water and in
the classroom, and we strive to recruit members from all boating backgrounds,
from families, fishing enthusiasts, sailing aficionados, operators
of personal watercrafts and more.
The Squadron extends its knowledge to non-members by offering complimentary
vessel safety
checks and fire
education. In addition, we support other organizations’
sponsored events that further our mission of enhancing safety in recreational
boating.
