Whether you own a boat or watercraft, such as a jet ski, or just
have the desire to learn boat-handling techniques, this is the

for you. There is nothing quite like a day on the water in Naples,
Florida. According to the U.S. Coast Guard, more than 70 million
Americans enjoy
recreational
boating each year. However, choose to arrive safely at your boating
destination.
Waterways are second only to highways when it comes to accidental
deaths. In the most recent year with complete data compiled by the
U.S. Coast Guard, 750 lives were lost as a result of recreational
boating accidents in the U.S. and its territories. Overall, operator
inattention, carelessness, reckless operation, operator inexperience
and excessive speed are the leading contributing factors of all
reported accidents.
The Naples Sail and Power Squadron is a unit of the "United
States Power Squadrons®", which has over 60,000 members
nationwide. We are part
of District
22, located on the west coast of Florida.
We support boaters along the corridor that includes Naples,
Bonita Springs and Estero, Florida.
We offer progressive courses:
from basic boating to celestial navigation that provide competence
to navigate anywhere in the world.
But not all is work. As a member, you will soon enjoy our camaraderie

activities such
as cruises, navigation contests, parades, dinner dances and more.

We also provide vessel safety checks and fire
education as complimentary
services to assist boat owners meet the requirements of a Coast
