Safe and enjoyable boating through public and member education
Whether you own a boat or watercraft, such as a jet ski, or just have the desire to learn boat-handling techniques, this is the place for you. There is nothing quite like a day on the water in Naples, Florida. According to the U.S. Coast Guard, more than 70 million Americans enjoy recreational boating each year. However, choose to arrive safely at your boating destination.

Waterways are second only to highways when it comes to accidental deaths. In the most recent year with complete data compiled by the U.S. Coast Guard, 750 lives were lost as a result of recreational boating accidents in the U.S. and its territories. Overall, operator inattention, carelessness, reckless operation, operator inexperience and excessive speed are the leading contributing factors of all reported accidents.

The Naples Sail and Power Squadron is a unit of the "United States Power Squadrons®", which has over 60,000 members nationwide. We are part of District 22, located on the west coast of Florida. We support boaters along the corridor that includes Naples, Bonita Springs and Estero, Florida.

We offer progressive courses: from basic boating to celestial navigation that provide competence to navigate anywhere in the world.

But not all is work. As a member, you will soon enjoy our camaraderie and develop enduring friendships through social activities such as cruises, navigation contests, parades, dinner dances and more. We continuously add benefits to your membership – come see for yourself.

We also provide vessel safety checks and fire education as complimentary services to assist boat owners meet the requirements of a Coast Guard inspection.
